      How to Export and Import Grafana dashboards

      This documentation describes how to export and import dashboards in Grafana. It also applies to importing Opslogix SCOM Data Source Default Dashboards, which can be found below.

      SCOM Data Source Default Dashboards

      The default dashboards are available on Github for download.

      Exporting dashboards

      Go to the dashboard that you want to export. Click on the Share icon at the top right.

      A new window will open. Go to the Export tab and enable Export for sharing externally (This allows selecting datasource upon import). Click Save to file and save the file.

      Importing dashboards

      import-dashboard-1Got to the dashboards menu an click on the New button and select Import.

       

      import-dashboard-2Click on the field Upload the JSON dashboard file.

       

      import-dashboard-3Select your dashboard JSON file and click Open.

       

      import-dashboard-4-1The datasource should be prepopulated, changed it to correct instance if necessary. It is also optional to change the dashboard name and destination folder. Click Import to import the dashboard.
