This article describes how to create a performance panel using the SCOM Data Source for Grafana.
Click on the hamburger menu and go to Dashboards.
In the upper right corner, click New and then New dashboard.
Click Add visualization.
Select your desired datasource.
Here you can use Single Class to select specific resources you want to include, or Group, which will include all instances in the class. Then you fill in the rest accordingly:
- Counter object name
- Conter name
- Conter instance name
When you are done, click on Apply in the lower left corner.
A graph should now be showing. However, the data is bundled and in order to visualize it correctly, we need to transform the data.
Click on Transform data.
Search for and select Partition by values.
Click on Select field.
Chose which field you want to visualize your data from. In this example we use Object display name.
The data in your graph should now be separated. Click Save in the upper right corner to save your changes.
Click Save again.
This is what the panel should look like when it is done.
