VMware Management Pack Update Release (1.3.1724.0)

The second update release of our popular VMware Management Pack for System Center Operations Manager, we have focused on scalability. And today, we are proud to announce a new feature for better scaling your VMware monitoring in SCOM.

This new feature lets you monitor thousands ESXi host on a single vCenter server using multiple SCOM Management Servers.

(Update - We now support VMware vSphere 7)

The new version (1.3.1724.0) is already available for download in our customer download area.

New

  • Scale-out feature . Now you can spread the monitoring load over more than 1 Management Server. See User Guide for more information.

Fixed

  • Various small UI and backend performance improvements.

Important

If you are on V1.3.1652.0 or lower than before importing this release you will need to remove the 2 MPs below from SCOM using the SCOM operations console -> Administration -> management packs -> Delete :

  • OpsLogix IMP - VMware Configuration Dashboard
  • OpsLogix IMP - VMware Full Monitoring Groups

After removing you can continue to import this release including the just 2 removed MPs.

Note

The OpsLogix VMware Management Pack requires Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2012 SP1, 2012 R2, 2016, 180x or 2019.

The OpsLogix VMware Management Pack makes use of Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5. It is required that Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 is installed on all SCOM Management Server and Gateway Servers that are resource pool members in the resource pool used for VMware monitoring.

The Management Pack can be upgraded from of VMware Management Pack version V1.3.8.x
